Full Tree Removal / Dismantle

We offer a complete removal of trees and hedges.

Logs and Woodchip produced in the removal of trees are always recycled, and we would always encourage the replanting of replacement trees.

Crown Thinning

Crown thinning is a pruning technique primarily used on hardwood trees. It is the selective removal of stems and branches to increase light penetration and air movement throughout the crown of a tree.

Crown Lifts

Crown lifting is carried out to increase the clearance between the ground level and the lower branches either to allow access below the tree, to clear sight lines, improve views or allow light to penetrate to the ground.

Crown Reduction

This is a more extensive form of pruning and is used primarily to:

1. Reduce the weight of potentially dangerous limbs.

2. Balance a misshapen tree, for example, following storm damage, or after bad pruning.

3. Prevent trees obstructing or damaging buildings and property.

4. Prevent trees from interfering with overhead telephone and power lines.

Pollarding

Pollarding is a management method of encouraging lateral branches by cutting off a tree stem or minor branches two or three metres above ground level.

Deadwood Removal

This process is completed to prevent any issues with falling debris and is therefore normally completed in high risk areas such as over roads/footpaths, in gardens or in public locations. It involves climbing around the entire canopy of a tree to remove dead branches that will degrade and eventually fall. It may be completed to different specifications (such as large pieces only).

Tree Planting

We are able to plant trees and hedges of your choice or offer advice regarding suitability of species for certain areas.

Stump Grinding

When removing a tree or large shrub to ground level, a small proportion of the trunk or stem remains in the ground. This is known as the "Stump". A stump can remain in the ground without causing any harm.

However; if you wish to replant or lay more lawn, then it is necessary to remove the stump. The stump will also need removing for:

a new building / outhouse to be constructed

a new fence to be erected

or when it is just not appealing.
